What is a Discovery Session?

In a telephone conversation, you and I will explore the benefits of one-on-one coaching. We'll talk about what you want and need as well as how I work. If we both feel that we are a good match, we'll decide on a program that is best for you.

This is not a typical “sales conversation” and you will feel no pressure from me to enroll in a coaching program. I only work with people I feel really well-matched with—and if that is you, we will both feel it and be excited to begin!

Apply for a Discovery Session ONLY if you know you want coaching to change your life
and are ready to make the commitment coaching requires.

Applications are by email. Put “DISCOVERY SESSION” into the Subject line and address the email to me at  martia@MartiaNelson.com

  1. What is going on that prompts you to want coaching? (Include the changes in you and/or your life that you want to create.)
  2. On a scale of 1 to 10, how committed are you to doing whatever it takes to create those changes?
  3. What (if anything) have you done in the past to try to create those changes? And how did that go?
  4. What is your work (if you have not already mentioned this)?
  5. Is there anything else you want me to know?
  6. What are 2-3 dates with specific time windows you can be available for your 30-minute Discovery Session? (Specificity matters—not just “The week of….”)

Except in unusual circumstances, I will respond to your application within three days (usually sooner) to let you know if I think we might be a good match -- and, if so, to schedule your Discovery Session.
